SPX Provides Solutions in the Americas

Whether providing essential components for ethanol production in Brazil or speeding up processing for mass transit systems in U.S. cities, SPX is transforming ideas into powerful solutions.

Accolades and Awards

The ingenuity behind SPX solutions has garnered us numerous accolades. For example:

  • The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized SPX for helping to reduce atmospheric pollution caused by R-134a refrigerant, a greenhouse gas commonly used in automobile air conditioning units.

  • The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded an Engineering Emmy® to Dielectric® for designing ATSC broadcast transmission system RF filters.

  • Both SPX Process Equipment and APV® have been recipients of Frost & Sullivan's Product Differentiation Innovation Awards.

For our customers throughout the Americas and beyond, these awards exemplify our commitment to employing ingenuity in our solutions and in getting results that make a difference.

Where Ingenuity Happens

Home to SPX corporate headquarters, the United States is also the base of operations for many of our global SPX brands including Berko ® and QMark® heating and ventilation equipment, Waukesha® Cherry-Burrell® pumps and valves, Lightnin® mixers and Marley ® cooling towers.

Numerous research and development centers — where many of our solutions are developed — as well as manufacturing facilities and sales and distribution networks can be found throughout North, South and Central America.

Among them is the SPX Cooling Technologies Research and Development Center in Kansas City, Missouri, considered among the world’s most extensive process cooling test facilities.

For our Lightnin brand, research and design efforts are based at our Knowledge and Technology Center in Rochester, New York. The center provides customer testing for a variety of industries and applications, ranging from pharmaceuticals to minerals extraction operations.

Dielectric® Communications offers a testing facility at its headquarters in Raymond, Maine. Here it can fully isolate the variables that affect the performance of the company’s antennas, filters and other components to gain a better understanding of how they will operate at customers’ sites.
